Southtown Pizzeria

The food is delicious and the patio with pergola is perfect for pictures. I honestly thought it was a pizza joint! It's a Tuscany vision board!

— Veronica F.

The name of this restaurant makes it sound like a cheap hole-in-the-wall pizza place, but Southtown Pizzeria is so much more than that. You can get pizza, but you can also get high-end Italian dishes that come out on lovely white plates. We highly recommend sitting out on the patio, and like Veronica said, snapping plenty of pics of your food.

“The ambiance is inviting and sociable. Details like the playlist were so perfectly paired with the experience and the conversation could be heard while the music still enjoyed. After every course you are served new silverware.”

— Deanna H.

We wish this restaurant were named, “Spur,” but that’s the only complaint we have about this upscale eatery in Southtown. Ambiance is often overlooked in new restaurants, but that’s not the case at Maverick. If you decide to go, be sure to order the grill sampler so you can taste a little bit of everything!

“Read about this tiny place with 7 tables, and had to come!  We liked it so much for dinner, that we came back the next day for brunch.  The ambiance is super fun! Even the restrooms are funky with toilet paper in bright colors.”

— Mili H.

Yes, this place is small. Small can be good though, and that’s especially true at Bite. This little restaurant has some of the most Instagrammable drinks in San Antonio, making it the ideal brunch destination!
