App Advice from your Downtown San Antonio Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

When was the last time you downloaded an app that actually changed the way you live your day-to-day life? If you’re like most residents of our community of apartments in downtown San Antonio, you probably don’t check the App Store often enough to keep up with all the latest advancements in smartphone app technology. That’s why we’ve decided to share a list of the top apps of 2018!

In the blog post below, you’ll find descriptions for three useful apps that can help you be more productive in the finals days of 2018 and into the new year. Your smartphone can probably be more helpful than you give it credit for, and the apps on the list below should help you unlock your phone’s full potential.

Without further ado, let’s jump right into this week’s blog! Oh, and when you finish reading through the post below, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends. Better yet, go ahead and share it with your neighbors at Southtown Flats — the apartments downtown San Antonio residents choose for luxury living.

Five Minute Journal

This app basically works by reminding you — and making it easy for you to — write short journal entries throughout the day. You’ll write one right when you wake up, one in the middle of the day, and one before you go to bed. The first one helps you set yourself up for a successful day, the middle one gives you a chance to unload the first half of your day and prepare for the afternoon, and the last one helps you unwind and clear your head before you go to bed.

The Pomodoro technique is a method of working that involves taking short breaks at periodic intervals. Some people say it helps them be more productive throughout the day. We can’t say for certain that this technique will help you be more productive, but it’s certainly worth a shot. If you want to give it a try, download this app to help you get in the groove.

Everyone uses their phone to make lists. We make grocery lists, to-do lists, and more. However, the Notes app is pretty much useless when it comes to doing anything with those lists. If you download Wunderlist, you can turn those lists into attachments on calendar events, or into reminders that set off an alarm. Your to-do list shouldn’t just be a list — it should be a motivational tool that you use to get things done. With Wunderlist, it can be that tool.

We’ve hit the end of our blog for this week, but we’ll be back in January with two more brand new blogs for our residents. As always, we greatly appreciate those of you who’ve been coming back month after month to read all our latest blogs. Be sure to check back when our next post goes live! In the time between now and then, we hope you’re able to download some of these apps and make the most of your smartphone’s capabilities.
